Piper at the Gates of the Thread (Pink Floyd)

In this thread, we will all discuss the band Pink Floyd. I don't mean a little bit of Pink Floyd, I mean anything and everything Pink Floyd. If you spam or flame, I will delete your post. Anyways, here is a short bio and history.

History
Pink Floyd was an English rock band formed by Syd Barrett in 1965. In 1965 Pink Floyd consisted of Syd, Roger, Richard, and Nick. Syd was a lyrical genius, but sadly he suffered from schizophrenia, which in itself isn't bad. But what came to his downfall was his addiction to LSD. When Syd became to far out to even stand up on his own, The remaining members asked David Gilmour to replace Syd. Strangely enough, David was the one who tought Syd how to play guitar.

The new Floyd went on to record, but was really only a cult favorite until their hit album "Dark Side of The Moon" which boosted them into the mainstream. Pink Floyd continued to make hit albums up until they released "The Final Cut". After this sad letdown that what seemed to many the end of Pink Floyd, Roger left the band. David Gilmour went on to lead the three man band and released albums such as "A Momentary Lapse of Reason", but Pink Floyd would not be the same. Or would they? On July 2, 2005, Roger and David settled their past grievances and the band, reunited, played their last four songs together as the band Pink Floyd.

Pink floyd is 1 of the coolest bands.i like the wall

The Wall's one of my favorites. I like all of them that I have though, and I have most of them.

Pink Floyd is one of those bands that does not necessarily change the way rock music sounds, but changes the way many, many people look at thier lives and the world. One of my favorite bands.
